Business Tampere and Tampere University will jointly arrange a complimentary training program about the regulatory essentials in healthtech. The online training is targeted to all health startups in the Tampere Region, university healthcare innovators, Tampere University (TUNI) spinoffs and all Spark Finland teams. The training covers basic information about the rules and regulations impacting business with the healthcare sector.

The training for healthtech startups and university innovators focuses on turning regulatory compliance into a competitive advantage for startups to succeed in the global healthcare market. It provides to Tampere Health Technology and Life Sciences Ecosystem innovators a kick-start to regulatory compliance for health-related business development (incl. health software and medical devices).

Training will be held in English and arranged in two parts: the training series starts in June with 4 online sessions, and continues in fall 2020 (dates to be announced later). Sessions in June will be arranged online via Zoom platform.

These complimentary training sessions on Regulatory Essentials in Health Tech welcome the Tampere Health community of startups, university and hospital staff, students and any other community stakeholders, as well as all SPARK Finland teams/projects. All startups from the Tampere Region and all teams in SPARK Finland program attending the training will gain an access code to Entries, the digital regulatory runway tool, when registering to the training. TUNI students and staff shall register with their TUNI email addresses.

The Entries access is valid until the end of 2021. Training and the tool are provided by the trainer organisation Lean Entries Ltd. For more information on the Entries tool, see the service description.
