    XR Seminar brings together VR, AR and MR professionals and utilizers to Tampere in September

    Join us in the first XR Seminar September 19th in Tampere, Finland. Seminar offers you a day filled with interesting speakers, bright ideas and new connections! Learn all about cool virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality gear and solutions.

    XR Seminar brings together virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality professionals and utilizers. The event is held in Mediapolis, Tampere in September 19th from noon till 5 pm and continues as an evening party until 8 pm. The keynote speakers are top names in the field and bring also viewpoints to implementing the VR, AR and MR technologies. Confirmed speakers include Steven M. LaValle, Chief Scientist of VR/AR/MR, Huawei Technologies and Seppo Honkanen, Partner, Microsoft Hololens Team.

    XR Seminar, Tampere

    Idea of the seminar is to share knowledge, ideas and best practices, but also connect with future partners or talents. The event aims to connect 150 XR professionals, students and industry players together. We aim for a fresh combination of providers, talents and utilizer, says one of the key organizers Johanna Kalliomäki from Leonidas Ltd.

    The XR Challenge competition winners are awarded as part of the seminar program. Fastems, Glaston Corporation and Valmet provided industry challenges to XR companies in spring 2018. Now the eight finalist teams are running for the 40 000 euro prize sum. All the finalists are also present at the event to get to know the solutions in more detail.     XR Seminar and Challenge are organized by Virtual Reality Finland, Business Tampere, Leonidas Oy, Business Finland and Tampere University of Applied Sciences TAMK.

    The event is free of charge but registration is required. The language of the event is English.
