Tampere University of Technology (TUT) is ranked number 48 on the ’QS Top 50 under 50’ list for the world’s highest-performing universities under 50 years old.

The ’QS Top 50 under 50’ university ranking acknowledges the world’s top young universities whose achievements in teaching and research are outstanding in the light of their age and resources.

“TUT ranked in the list for the first time this year, and rather conveniently during our 50th anniversary celebrations,” Research Development Manager Anu Juslin from TUT notes.

This fantastic ranking is a result of the systematic work carried out for teaching and research at the University.

“The quality of the work carried out at TUT has been recognized and it is also starting to show in international rankings to an increasing extent”, Juslin comments.

The highest ranked universities on the list are Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and KAIST – Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. The best European university, ranked seven on the list, is the University of Bath. Among the Finnish universities, the University of Eastern Finland also ranked on the list.
