For the next summer season, starting on March 26, 2017, the Latvian airline airBaltic will introduce at least eight new routes, thus improving connections to the Baltic region. One of the to Tampere.

Martin Gauss, Chief Executive Officer of airBaltic: “airBaltic is an important link of the Baltic region with the rest of the world. As part of our Horizon 2021 business plan we will improve our connections to key airports by opening at least eight new routes in 2017. In addition, we will further improve our service on existing routes by gradually phasing in our all-new Canadian-built Bombardier CS300 jets. These will become a distinguishing feature of our airline, which is set to become the world’s first operator of this state-of-the art aircraft.”

"This is highly important development for the Tampere-Pirkkala airport. We are happy to welcome airBaltic and keep on working to open more routes from Tampere to abroad", says Marja Aalto, in charge of air traffic development in Tampere Region Economic Development Agency Tredea.
