Business Tampere is Hiring: Business Advisor, International Business

The role of Business Advisor focuses on engaging with large international industrial companies, connecting them with regional expertise and businesses. A key focus is on the automotive industry and mobile machinery OEM and Tier 1 companies, driving innovation and technological development, with the goal of fostering connections between these companies and the Tampere region’s businesses.

Another focus area is connecting international OEM and other large industrial companies to leverage Tampere’s growing semiconductor and chip expertise (https://businesstampere.com/business-environment/business-ecosystems/chips-from-tampere/). In addition to outreach and active client engagement, the role also includes developing operational models to facilitate easier collaboration. Additionally the position also involves enhancing the international visibility of the regional industrial ecosystem, communications, and organizing various trade fairs, events, and workshops.

This role is part of two EU-funded projects, with work time divided 60/40%. Naturally, the job is not to be carried out alone. You will be part of Business Tampere's five-member industrial team, and also have the support of a network of over 50 experienced experts at Business Tampere.

What we expect from you:

• Experience working with international companies, especially in the vehicle and machinery industries.
• Understanding of innovation and technology development processes and the ability to identify collaboration opportunities.
• Strong networking skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.
• Strong presentation skills and excellent verbal and written communication. Proficiency in English is essential, and Finnish is an advantage.
• A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to challenges, the ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while achieving tangible results.

We consider it an advantage if you have:

• Knowledge of chip and semiconductor technology and its applications in industry.
• Experience in market research and analysis, particularly in the technology sector.
• The ability to plan and organize workshops, seminars, and other events that promote collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Experience in building visit programs for international delegations, both domestically and abroad.
• Experience in designing and implementing collaboration models, as well as initiating and evaluating pilot projects.
