airBaltic to Launch its First-Ever Domestic Flights in Finland from Tampere to Kittilä
12.5.2023This upcoming winter season, which will begin at the end of October 2023, the Latvian airline airBaltic plans to launch its first-ever domestic flights in Finland, connecting the airline’s Tampere base to the popular resort of Kittila in northern Finland.
In the airBaltic network, Kittila has already been a popular destination choice among Finnish travellers via the airline’s home base in Riga, where the airline also plans to increase the flight frequency to two times per week for the upcoming winter season. By introducing the new domestic flights, airBaltic hopes that local travellers will now benefit from further convenience and comfort when travelling on this route directly.
The flights to Kittila are scheduled to take place two times weekly – on Fridays and Sundays. The flight time is planned to be 1 hour and 20 minutes, and the flights will be performed by Airbus A220-300 aircraft.
As it has already been announced, airBaltic has published its flight schedule for the upcoming winter season. In the upcoming winter season, airBaltic plans to add a total of 11 new routes – two from Tampere, two from Riga, three from Tallinn, and four from Vilnius. This is the largest number of new routes in a winter season ever seen at airBaltic.
airBaltic provides flights to more than 70 destinations from Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius and Tampere, offering connections to a wide range of destinations in the airline's route network in Europe, Scandinavia, the CIS and the Middle East.
