More information
This AI Hub workshop will introduce some of the widely used simulators for robotics applications development and their features, and will share our experiences of different simulators used in our research group.
We will start by reviewing the importance of simulations, and their limitations. We will then introduce our selection criteria and simulation use cases in different domains. After that, we will present simulation-based perception-based control development. We will then focus on the features of our selected simulator, CARLA, and explain our vision-based obstacle avoidance application implemented in the simulator. Finally, we will have a discussion about CARLA’s features with concrete hands-on examples.
Required pre-knowledge and/or software: Python (further instructions will be given to the attendees )
Speakers: Golnaz Raja, Prof. Reza Ghabcheloo
