STREAM CONNECT 19. Surviving the storm: How to raise funds in 2024 – 2025.

STREAM CONNECT is a series of startup-investor matchmaking and networking events organised by Platform6 and open to all startups in Tampere.

2024 is shaping up to be one of the most challenging years yet for startups and investors alike. With the funds raised during the boom years of 2021-2022 running dry, startups are now facing the reality of down rounds and increased mortality rates. VC firms, too, are treading carefully, deploying their remaining dry powder with caution amid high inflation and interest rates.

This event will explore the key fundraising trends and strategies for 2024-2025, offering critical insights into how startups can navigate this difficult environment. We will also discuss the importance of selecting the right fundraising avenues, from public funding and bootstrapping to debt financing and strategic partnerships, to ensure startups can extend their runway and survive the storm. Additionally, we will uncover how VCs are increasingly using AI to screen startups and what founders can do to capture and keep their attention.
