The Tampere Region Automotive and Vehicle Technology Cluster together with the
Sustainable Industry X (SIX) Mobile Work Machines Cluster are organizing a high-level
business, innovation and networking delegation to the United Kingdom on 20. – 22.
October 2026. Comprising member companies from both clusters, the delegation aims to
drive:

• Technical collaboration and knowledge exchange
• RDI partnerships for future innovations
• Supply chain integration with leading UK entities
• Direct market access and commercial growth by connecting with key decision-makers and high-potential clients in the UK mobility market
• New revenue streams and business deals through targeted networking, B2B matchmaking, and high-level commercial partnerships

Key facts:

• Theme: Leading edge development in future mobile work machines and vehicle technologies (data, automation, electrification), and collaboration models
• Approach: Exploratory, discussion-driven meetings focused on real collaboration building in between the UK and Finnish companies
• Support: Discovery mission supported by the Finnish Embassy
• Preparation: Feasibility and location suitability will be confirmed in advance for each visit

• Arrival in UK: Monday, 19. October

  • McLaren (rapid R&D),
  • JCB (hydrogen),

  • Rolls-Royce (predictive maintenance)

  • Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC),
  • and similar hubs.
• Return: Friday 23. October 

Please note that participants are welcome to suggest additional target companies – we will aim to tailor the program accordingly where possible. 

The visit includes: 

• Online pre-meeting (with Embassy of Finland & Business Tampere)
• Visit program and local transportation in the UK 
• Wrap-up meeting & dinner (after the visits)
• Networking (to be confirmed)

• Participants will cover their own travel and accommodation arrangements.
• If the visit is overbooked, we may need to limit the number of participants.
