We are looking for senior expert who feels at home in an international research and business environment. You’ll have an important role in developing international funding and cooperation opportunities for local companies and for the City of Tampere.
Your goal is to develop international funding and cooperation opportunities to enhance research, innovation and business development of local companies and organisations in the Tampere region. You will be actively screening and looking for EU funding opportunities and following EU funding program initiatives. You will be searching and linking together international partners, local companies and business ecosystems in the region to enable suitable funding opportunities. Additionally, you will be contacting local companies and networking with them, identifying their research and development opportunities and activating companies to cooperate and participate in suitable consortiums for relevant funding openings. Together with colleagues and stakeholders, you will develop EU funding utilization in different ecosystems and their research and innovation initiatives in the region.
We expect you to have experience with relevant European Union operations and projects and understanding of funding instruments related to research and innovation area. You are familiar with international cooperation networks and you have knowledge of business ecosystems in the Tampere region. We appreciate your active development and coordinating approach, customer service orientation and ability to identify potential initiatives to invest in. You need strong social and networking skills and you are fluent in English, other languages are considered to be an asset. Due to the nature of this work, readiness to travel mainly within EU, and especially in Brussels is required. You have a relevant university degree and you are able to work with academic networks.
