Tampere AI x Startup.Tampere Meetup & Afterwork

Welcome to an afternoon where the Tampere AI ecosystem meets Tampere startup community!

We’ll kick off with a short program featuring:

• Introduction to the Tampere AI ecosystem – Minna Kinnunen and Kristian Valkama, Business Tampere
  • Tampere AI ecosystem is operated by Business Tampere in collaboration with Tampere University and the City of Tampere. Our shared goal is to promote Tampere region as an internationally attractive Center of Excellence for artificial intelligence, raise awareness in AI, and support both organizational renewal and business growth driven by AI.
• Opportunities for testing and experimentation
  • Tampere City Lab is a Testing and Experimentation Facility (TEF) that offers a unique combination of both virtual and physical testbeds in a real-world environment to support the development of new AI-powered innovations.
• GPT-Lab
  • GPT-Lab is a research group at Tampere University focused on applying generative artificial intelligence to software development. The lab’s team consists of professors, doctoral candidates, and researchers.The core focus of GPT-Lab’s research at Tampere University is on innovative solutions in artificial intelligence and software development.
• Softlandia Venture Studio
  • Softlandia is focused on creating and co-creating new businesses. Softlandia actively incubates and launches new ventures. Each venture is either internally developed or co-created with external founder teams. Their focus is on globally scalable software and AI solutions, especially where their technical and business networks give them an edge.
• During the event, there will also be opportunities to connect with Startup.Tampere stakeholders, including Tribe Tampere and Redstone Nordics

After the program, we’ll continue with a relaxed afterwork with pizza and drinks!
