Join us in shaping the future of Europe’s security and growth. We are now looking for a hands-on, internationally focused specialist in dual-use technology to build and maintain cooperation with national and international ecosystems, large corporations, and SMEs.

You can be the person we are looking for if you

  • are a proactive and communicative doer who enjoys connecting people and getting things done
  • have experience in coordination roles
  • have commercial or sales-oriented mindset and genuine interest in international business
  • work independently and efficiently, with a pragmatic mindset
  • able to thrive in a relaxed and direct team culture
  • have strong English skills (Finnish language skills are an advantage for working with local companies)

The role is part of IAS Academy Project and your work is to help Finnish companies bring their innovations to international markets and seize new opportunities emerging from Europe’s rapidly evolving defence sector.

What you will do

  • Support companies in export and internationalization activities – from strategic initiatives to hands-on tasks like trade fairs and international business visits
  • Organize and coordinate events, business delegations, and export activities
  • Network actively both in Finland and abroad (especially in Sweden, Estonia, elsewhere in Europe, and occasionally the US or Asia)
  • Collaborate closely with partner organizations from Sweden and Estonia
  • Identify and develop collaboration opportunities between export programs and ecosystems

The position includes some travelling (approximately 2–3 trips in spring and autumn, typically 3–5 days per trip).

Familiarity with the Finnish business landscape, especially Pirkanmaa region and existing networks in the security, technology, or industrial sectors are definite assets.

Why Business Tampere?

You will be part of a dynamic, experienced, motivated and supportive team driving business growth for the region’s companies with passion.

Business Tampere supports flexible hybrid work, though in-office collaboration is key in this role with a preference for 2–3 office days per week in Pirkanmaa.

This is a fixed-term position until 30.6.2028, aligned with the duration of the IAS Academy Project (https://centralbaltic.eu/project/ias-business-academy/).
