STREAM CONNECT is a series of startup-investor matchmaking and networking events organised by Platform6 and open to all startups in Tampere.

Timing can make or break your startup’s fundraising, often outweighing your company’s actual merits. Investors’ decisions are shaped by factors beyond your control – whether they’ve already invested in your sector that quarter, need to impress LPs, or fear missing out because a top-tier fund is showing interest. A partner’s recent track record, internal fund dynamics, and even office politics can influence whether you get a term sheet or a pass.

Don’t take rejections personally – sometimes, it’s just bad timing. That’s why during this event, we’re digging into when to raise, go after EU funding, bet on a tech trend, or land corporate partnerships. Getting it right can mean the difference between riding a wave or hitting a wall. We want to give you a tool to spot these moments, so you can move fast when the odds are in your favor and avoid wasting time when they’re not.
