Direct Access for Startups to City Decision-Makers

IMAGINE 2025 offers companies a unique opportunity to collaborate directly with cities to solve their most pressing challenges. Tampere and international cities are seeking solutions for mobility, security, and sustainability. Applications are open until the end of March 2025, and selected companies will present their solutions in Tampere in May.

IMAGINE the Citiverse is an international event bringing together city representatives, businesses, startups, and investors to tackle urban challenges. The event will take place on May 27–28, 2025, at the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre.

At the heart of the event is the Citiverse Challenge, where nine cities – Aurora (USA), Genoa (Italy), Istanbul (Turkey), Las Rozas de Madrid (Spain), London’s Thames Freeport (UK), Phoenix (USA), Rotterdam (Netherlands), Tampere (Finland), and Valencia (Spain) – will present key urban challenges they seek innovative solutions for. These challenges focus on four main themes.

Companies, startups, and innovators are invited to apply and showcase their solutions in areas such as mobility, security and resilience, citizen participation, democracy and well-being, and sustainability, environment, and biodiversity. Selected participants will have the opportunity to present their solutions directly to city decision-makers and an engaged audience. Applications are open until the end of March 2025.

The event is organized by the City of Tampere, with key partners including BABLE Smart Cities, Urban Innovators Global, Platform 6, and Business Tampere.

Last year’s event introduced visitors to the possibilities of the metaverse, exploring its impact on communication, infrastructure, and digital experiences through augmented and virtual reality technologies.
