Business Tampere is looking for a Business Development Specialist with a focus on health

In this role you will help accelerate health solutions in the Digital Health 3 (DH3) project and drive business growth. The position is fixed-term until the end of March 2028.

The DH3 project aims to boost health tech innovation, support SME growth and new digital health solutions in Tampere region. The project strengthens RDI collaboration between research and industry and promotes both regional and international networks with the goal of improving the effectiveness, cost-efficiency, and sustainability of social and healthcare services.

Your key responsibilities

You will serve as an expert in the Digital Health 3 project and support the project manager in planning, coordinating, and implementing project activities.. You will be responsible for Tampere Health’s role in the consortium and its goals.

You will work closely with health technology companies, research and innovation organizations, ecosystem stakeholders and also international partners and investors. In addition your work includes export promotion and support.

What makes you a great fit

• Relevant university degree (e.g. M.Sc. in Tech, Econ, or Science)
• Experience in project work and coordination or management
• Understanding of health technologies, particularly in the Pharma and Life Sciences sectors
• Experience or strong interest in promoting foreign direct investment (FDI) and international company establishment in Finland
• Insight into the data economy and opportunities created by AI in healthcare
• Ability to understand the direction and impact of preventive healthcare
• Understanding of innovation and technology development processes and the ability to identify collaboration opportunities
• Strong networking skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.
• Strong presentation skills and excellent proficiency in Finnish and English. EU citizenship or existing work permit

Considered an asset

• Strong networks among health sector actors in Finland
• Experience in RDI collaboration and innovative public procurement models
