Join Business Tampere’s delegation to Texas in October 2026 to meet potential customers and technology partners and explore opportunities for U.S. expansion.

The programme focuses on Physical AI: bringing artificial intelligence into machines, robots and industrial operations through sensing, software, automation and autonomous systems. 

Participate in the full delegation programme, join only the Dallas–Fort Worth or Austin part, or arrive only for the Austin Tech Week programme week 26.-30.10.2026 

The programme at a glance: 

  • Dallas–Fort Worth Region: 19–21 October — company visits, business briefings and networking. 
  • Thursday, 22 October — departure from Dallas in the morning, a planned visit to the Bush Combat Development Complex and onward travel to Austin Area 
  • Austin: from Friday 23 October — company and innovation ecosystem visits. 
  • Austin Tech Week: 26–30 October — selected event participation and further company visits in the Austin area. 
  • Binding registration deadline: 10 October 2026. 
  • Participation fee: No separate fee for the Business Tampere delegation programme. Participants cover their own travel, accommodation and other personal expenses as detailed below.
     

The delegation follows one shared Physical AI umbrella theme. The detailed programme and meeting times will be updated as arrangements progress.

The programme is intended for Finnish technology companies entering or expanding in the U.S. market, particularly: 

  • Mobile machinery manufacturers and their suppliers. 
  • Robotics, industrial automation and advanced manufacturing companies. 
  • Developers of autonomous systems, remote operation and fleet management. 
  • Companies working with sensors, machine vision, semiconductors and connectivity. 

It is especially relevant for company leaders, business development teams and technology decision-makers seeking customers and partnerships.

Choose your participation

  • Full delegation: Dallas–Fort Worth and Austin, with the option to continue through Austin Tech Week.
  • Dallas–Fort Worth only: The programme on 19–21 October.
  • Austin only: Austin-area company visits from 22 October, with the option to stay for the following week ofr Austin Tech Week 
  • Tech Week programme only: Selected Austin Tech Week activities and company visits continuing in the Austin area during 26–30 October.

Dallas–Fort Worth 19–21 October

The Dallas–Fort Worth programme combines industrial and logistics visits with introductions to the regional business environment. Programme highlights include: 

  • Dallas Regional Chamber: discussions on the regional business environment, corporate networks and opportunities for companies entering the market. 
  • Finnish American Chamber of Commerce North Texas: local connections and practical perspectives on doing business in North Texas. 
  • Amazon logistics centre: a visit focused on logistics operations and the role of automation. 
  • AllianceTexas Mobility Innovation Zone: an introduction to the development and deployment of mobility and logistics technologies. 
  • Jacobs Inc: discussions on engineering, technology and potential areas of business collaboration. 

Programme from Thursday to Friday, 22-23 October

Austin Tech Week 26–30 October

Participants can stay for, or join the delegation during, Austin Tech Week, which brings together entrepreneurs, technology leaders and investors. The programme during this week combines: 

  • Selected participation in Austin Tech Week events. 
  • Further company visits in the Austin area. 
  • Opportunities to build relationships with local companies and the technology community. 

Participants register for Austin Tech Week independently and pay for their own event ticket. Registration for the delegation does not include a Tech Week ticket.

Participation costs and commitment

Optional networking and leisure

  • Dallas Stars vs Boston Bruins NHL game (Tuesday 20 October). Participants have the opportunity to attend the Dallas Stars–Boston Bruins NHL game together in the evening and enjoy informal networking.
  •  Formula 1 United States Grand Prix (23–25 October). The Formula 1 United States Grand Prix takes place at Circuit of The Americas (COTA) in Austin during the delegation’s stay. 
  • Business Tampere does not organise Formula 1 activities, tickets or transport. Participants wishing to experience the race weekend atmosphere may make their own arrangements at their own expense.

Formula 1 United States Grand Prix

The Formula 1 United States Grand Prix takes place at Circuit of The Americas (COTA) in Austin during the delegation’s stay. 

  • Friday, 23 October: practice sessions
  • Saturday, 24 October: final practice and qualifying. 
  • Sunday, 25 October: the Grand Prix.

Venue information 

Tuesday 20 October – Dallas Stars vs Boston Bruins. Participants have the opportunity to attend the Dallas Stars–Boston Bruins NHL game together in the evening and enjoy informal networking. Attendance is optional, and participants pay for their own tickets and related expenses.
