Business Tampere is Hiring: Project Manager – Export & Technology Clusters

Are you looking for a front-row seat to drive internationalization and accelerate the development of industrial technology clusters? Business Tampere is seeking an ambitious Project Manager with a strong ability to manage complex projects and lead multi-stakeholder initiatives effectively.

In this role, you will support industrial technology companies in the Tampere region in accessing the North American market while also developing the local automotive and vehicle technology cluster to enhance its competitiveness and international reach. This is a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact both regionally and internationally.

Role & Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, you will take ownership of two strategically significant areas:

1. Opening North American Markets (EU Central Baltic Project)

Lead and coordinate an EU-funded export project where Business Tampere acts as the main coordinator alongside partners from Estonia, Latvia, and Sweden.
Work closely with companies, stakeholders, and international players to facilitate market access for industrial technology companies in North America.
Collaborate with an experienced customer account manager at Business Tampere to ensure project success.

2. Developing the Automotive & Vehicle Technology Cluster

Drive the evolution of the cluster towards a more structured, business-driven, and internationally recognized model.
Establish effective operational structures, develop cluster communications, and organize industry events in collaboration with companies and key stakeholders.
Your time will be divided approximately 50/50 between these two focus areas. You will work as part of Business Tampere’s six-member industrial team.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive professional with strong project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities. You should have:

A relevant higher education degree, such as a Master’s in Business Administration, an MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management, or an MSc in Innovation Leadership.
Proven experience in leading complex projects and managing multi-stakeholder collaboration.
Experience in export promotion, preferably with knowledge of the North American market (or a strong willingness to learn).
Excellent communication and networking skills – you are a confident speaker and capable of building strong, long-term relationships.
A strategic and solutions-oriented mindset – you don’t just analyze challenges; you actively drive progress.
The ability to understand and support technology-driven business environments, particularly within industrial technology and vehicle technology sectors.
Fluency in English (both written and spoken) – you will work in an international environment daily.
EU citizenship or existing work permit
