AI Hub Tampere organizes free workshops for companies in Tampere Region, where you can learn about artificial intelligence and its application in a concrete way. The workshops include short introductions and interesting demos, and participants have an opportunity to create and experiment themselves.

The goal is to lower the threshold for companies to utilize artificial intelligence. In addition to learning, the workshops provide an excellent opportunity for networking with people interested in artificial intelligence, says Ritva Savonsaari, Coordinator of AI Hub Tampere, Tampere University.

During 2019, four workshops were organized with a total of around 120 participants. The topics of the workshops included object detectionapplied artificial intelligence and human-machine interaction. Introductions on these topics were heard from both the university and business. During the exercises, the participants were able to, for example, encode their own object detection solution, and jointly brainstorm robot solutions and related interactions.

The concept of the workshops has been found to work and the feedback received has been very positive. Particularly the concrete demos and the conversational atmosphere were praised.

It was really nicely structured and proper level detailed workshop. In addition, the atmosphere was great just to ask questions and have a chat about relevant topics, thanks one of the participants.

The implementation of the workshops will continue this year. The next AI Hub Tampere workshop on computer vision will be held on 14 February. In March 13, in turn, the focus is on the topics of artificial intelligence and ethics. The workshops will be announced on the Business Event calendar. Welcome aboard!
