Stream Connect goes New Nordics Pitch Competition!
On Wednesday, 23 October at Platform6, Tampere, 8 of Finland’s most promising startups will battle it out for a spot in the Grand Final during Slush week. These startups are bringing real solutions that could be the next big thing in fields like AI, healthcare, robotics, and mobility.

Join Anssi Kiviranta, serial entrepreneur and co-creator of the EXIT book series, for an inspiring keynote that blends his personal entrepreneurial journey with the insights from 28 remarkable founders featured in the two Exit Stories volumes. Anssi, the co-founder of Videobot, Strand Properties, and Bo LKV, will offer a firsthand look into what it takes to build and exit successful ventures, alongside lessons from global unicorn founders like Jesper Buch of Just Eat, Linda Avey of 23andMe, and Peter Vesterbacka of Rovio.
This keynote uncovers the do-or-die moments behind some of the world’s biggest success stories, from startups turning into billion-dollar unicorns to the mistakes that almost derailed them. Featuring stories from companies like Wolt, Bolt, Booking.com, Unity, Tonies, Unity, Fiverr, Pipedrive, etc. Anssi reveals the eureka moments, the grit, and the persistence needed to overcome challenges and seize opportunities in the fast-paced world of entrepreneurship.

Prize Pool
The winner of the Finnish round will receive a prize pool worth approximately €15,000, which includes:
- EMU Growth Partners: €320 consultation with Tuomo Rantanen, entrepreneur and investor specialising in financing and business advising.
- HubSpot: Worth at least €6000, including AWS Activate credits, LinkedIn & Google Ad credits, HeadSpace memberships, coaching, and more.
- Infobip: One lucky startup will receive the Talk the Walk award, granting them €5000 in products and credits.
- 46elks: €300 in API credits.
- Bob W: One-night stay for two people at Bob W Kaarti, Helsinki.
- Platform6 / Startup.Tampere: One Startup ticket to Slush 2024.
The Finnish winner will go on to compete against the top regional winners from Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Iceland, and the Baltics during the Grand Final during the Slush week on November 19th, 2024, in Helsinki. The grand prize includes not only the honour of being crowned the top startup in the New Nordics but also the chance to participate in exclusive workshops on raising capital from US investors, creating the perfect pitch deck, and navigating legal challenges when entering the US market.
