Kalmar ja AI-Priori tekevät yhteistyötä

AI-Priori is a company that leverages artificial intelligence to solve industrial challenges in manufacturing and heavy machinery. Its five-year collaboration with Kalmar and involvement in new Veturi programs prompted the company to move closer to its clients and Tampere’s evolving industrial and AI ecosystem.

The company’s proprietary platform, DataPX1, enables real-time data processing, contextual analysis, and AI-powered decision-making to support maintenance, sustainability, and operational efficiency. Although AI-Priori is a young company, founded in February 2020, it brings over 35 years of combined experience in industrial processes.

AI-Priori’s solutions are powered by advanced large language models and agent-based AI. The company aims to move from reactive operations to fully autonomous, self-optimizing industrial systems. Its technology is already in use in ports and supply chain management, particularly for predictive maintenance and improving system interoperability.

The decision to relocate was further driven by AI-Priori’s long-standing collaboration with leading Finnish industrial companies, including Kalmar, Konecranes, and Cargotec.

Tampere Region Emerges as a Winner

“Tampere offers us access to the EU single market, innovation programs supported by Business Finland, and a strong talent network within the industrial and AI domains,” AI-Priori states.

Looking ahead, the company envisions expanding into new sectors such as smart cities and healthcare. Initially, the focus is on strengthening its position within the OEM and port industry ecosystems.

“Tampere’s strong industrial cluster and international business environment are attracting promising young companies from around the world. AI is a major driver of efficiency in the industrial sector, and we’re proud to be at the forefront of integrating industrial players into the active Tampere AI ecosystem,” says Heini Wallander, Head of Industrial Development at Business Tampere.

“More similar announcements are on the way,” Wallander adds.
