Vesilahti is a rural municipality with some 4,500 inhabitants and 300 companies in the Tampere Region, only a half-hour drive from Tampere. Good connections to the Tampere-Helsinki motorway and a regional connection from Lempäälä through Vesilahti to Sastamala make Vesilahti easy to reach.
Our SMEs operate in the following fields, to name but a few: Cleantech, renewable domestic energy, food industry, construction, metal subcontracting, transportation of people and goods, tourism and hospitality services and different designing services.
The municipality of Vesilahti is about to launch the preliminary investigation phase for constructing a residential building for senior citizens. The municipality is also participating in a South Tampere Region project aimed at securing fixed broadband connections for residential and business areas.

New, existing and expanding business areas:
A partial disposition plan has been drawn for the Koskenkylä surroundings in the municipality of Vesilahti.
This area is located in the eastern part of the Vesilahti municipality, near the municipal borders of Lempäälä and Akaa. In the north, the area is bordered by the Vesilahti parish. Koskenkylä and its surroundings are the fastest growing areas in Vesilahti.
In accordance with the partial disposition plan, the Kalalahti business area will be located along Koskenkyläntie (road 2985) and the Mantere business area along Mantereentie (road 2984). The Kalalahti business area comprises mostly fields and the Mantere business area of forest.
The potential size of each is 10 hectares.
Potential partners have the opportunity to make proposals concerning the above-mentioned business areas to the municipality of Vesilahti.
The Virolainen business area is located east of the Vesilahti parish along the Lempäälä-Vesilahti-Sastamala local road (road 301).
